These past two weeks have been overloaded of Assassin's Creed III reveals and leaks. Many players have jumped into the franchise full force since its inception, but there may still be some stragglers left in the dark, hesitant to jump into the series' complex story. Ubisoft wants gamers to know that there is no better time to still get in on the Assassin's Creed franchise and AC3 will be a good starting point for those who wish to join in.

While we've seen a lot of imagery from the game's American Revolution setting, not too many details have released in regards to Assassin's Creed 3's story, but the first trailer for the game makes it look very promising for all gamers, new and old to the franchise. According to a temporary posting on Xbox.com, Assassin's Creed 3 is also expected to have a 4-player co-op mode that could appeal to a wider audience, not dissimilar to what Electronic Arts and BioWare have done by adding co-op multiplayer in Mass Effect 3.

According to the Ubisoft UK head Rob Cooper, Assassin's Creed III will take the game to the next level and will easily put players' concerns of  a rushed game to rest. We previously reported that Ubisoft has been working on the game for three years and it'll come equipped with a new game engine, the strongest from the studio to date. Cooper explained the team's optimism to MCV:

"This is a huge investment for us and we’re extremely confident that together, all these factors will put us in pole position to compete against the other titles this Xmas...There’s a huge will from Ubisoft to bring more gamers into this universe...This is a great time for gamers to join the adventure. Assassin’s Creed III is the biggest and most ambitious launch in Ubisoft’s history so we absolutely believe this game will continue to grow the franchise."

Will it be enough to compete with a fall season of heavy hitters which includes BioShock Infinite, Medal of Honor: Warfighter, a new Call of Duty, Halo 4 and more?

Assassin’s Creed 3 will be out a few weeks earlier than its typical mid-November release and is scheduled to come out on October 30, 2012 for the PC, PS3, and Xbox 360.
