In a recent Twitch stream, Asmongold criticized a viewer who claims to have donated $3,000 to Amouranth. Asmongold is known for speaking his mind on a variety of topics. While he is primarily known for his MMO streams, Asmongold has often used his platform to discuss Twitch controversies, drama, and serious situations as well.

Recently, Twitch streamer Amouranth revealed that she is married, sharing verbally abusive text messages from her husband and streaming a phone call where he screamed at her and threatened to ruin her career. While many fans expressed concern for Amouranth in the aftermath of the situation, there are those who are more upset about the fact that she is married as opposed to the domestic abuse she has suffered.

Some Amouranth fans have expressed outrage after learning that she is married, as they were led to believe that she was single. As Amouranth revealed while discussing her husband's behavior on a Twitch stream, he has wanted her to tell people that she is single as part of her business model. Some of these disgruntled fans have complained about Amouranth letting them think she is single, with one going on Asmongold's recent stream to say, "She took $3k from me and told me that she's single, that's not okay."

Please note that the following clip uses some strong language.

Asmongold responded by saying, "I agree, I think that you're a f***ing idiot for giving her $3,000. I don't think it's okay at all. You should be ashamed of yourself. You're pathetic. You deserve to lose your money." Amouranth being married is an odd thing for people to be upset about because it's not like donating to a Twitch streamer means that the viewer is going to have some kind of real-world relationship with them. It's an unrealistic expectation, to say the least.

Asmongold went on to describe these kinds of donations as a "stupid tax" and said he's not going to say that these people have been taken advantage of for being told that Amouranth is single. "They're stupid and they're weird and that's what they get," the Twitch streamer said.

Some big name Twitch streamers have criticized the practice of donating any money at all to them or other streamers, pointing out how these content creators are already rich and make significant money from brand deals. On the flip side, there have been instances of Twitch streamers berating viewers for donating too little. Regardless, someone that chooses to donate money to a Twitch streamer should know that it doesn't mean they're going to get anything in return or establish a real-world relationship with whoever they're watching.
