As Dusk Falls contains multiple endings depending on the player's decisions throughout the game's many chapters. Each decision the player makes at a crossroads will have various outcomes and impacts on the characters and their environment. For example, a decision made earlier in the game might have repercussions that result in a character's death later

Gaining the best ending in As Dusk Falls can be pretty challenging, as there are plenty of decisions that need to be made and only one perfect ending, so players need to make the correct decisions to ensure that they get that perfect finale. On top of that, players need to ensure that not only do the characters survive but that they end up in the best possible situation for themselves. Looking to get that flawless ending in As Dusk Falls? Here's how.

Vince and Michelle's Best Ending

As Dusk Falls Michelle Best Ending with Vince

For Vince and Michelle to have a perfect ending they'll need to:

  • Survive the Desert Dream Motel incident
  • Ensure Jim and Zoe make it out of the Desert Dream Motel
  • Have Vince sue the airline company to get his dream job as a flight instructor
  • Decide to stay together

Vince is the quintessential family man, his main priorities are his family and his own survival. Past that the player will learn more about how he lost his job and his aspirations through conversation in the game. The player should look to encourage Vince to reach these aspirations such as suing the airline or reconnecting with Jim. Vince's best ending will always be that he remains with Michelle, and vice versa. Together Vince will sue the airline company and get his dream job and the two will end up living together.

Jay's Best Ending

As Dusk Falls Jay with Tyler

For Jay to have a perfect ending he'll have to:

  • Survive/ escape the police after the Desert Dream Motel
  • Jump off the cliff with Vanessa and escape to Canada with her
  • Reconnect with Zoe afterward in Canada

Jay's most important trait is his ability to survive. Players should play into Jay's natural survival instinct and escape the police at any chance possible. Ensuring Jay gets to Canada will result in him having a conversation with Zoe, where they can possibly befriend one another and move away from their traumatic past.

Zoe's Best Ending

As Dusk Falls Zoe Splash

Zoe doesn't necessarily have a certain best ending, but she does contribute directly to Jay's. For her best ending she'll need to:

  • Forgive Jay for his actions and have both of them move on from their past

As Zoe is a child for most of the game, she doesn't have many decisions that will make or break a character. She does however have the most character exploration in the later chapters as the story expands on how the incident affected her. Forgiving Jay will allow Zoe to connect with him and move past what had happened to them.

Paul and Sharon's Best Ending

As Dusk Falls Sharon Paul Together

For both of their best endings, Paul and Sharon will end up together, to do this the player must:

Choose to help Sharon escape rather than hand her over to Dante Paul and Sharon are both side characters that don't necessarily have much in the way of decisions. If the player chooses Sharon, Paul and Sharon will end up escaping together and creating a dream life. This is by far their best ending and the one players should strive for.

Tyler's Best Ending

As Dusk Falls Tyler Looking Out Window

Tyler can either have a good or bad ending, nothing in between. The important decisions that need to be made for him to reach this are:

  • The player must not tell Dante about the Cabin as Ash
  • The player must help Tyler up the tree branch as Jay

Tyler is another side character who unfortunately gets the short end of the stick. The best ending for Tyler is that he'll end up working on an oil rig, covertly getting by without detection.

Bear's Best Ending

As Dusk Falls Bear Save

Bear, like Tyler, can only have two endings in As Dusk Falls, one of which results in his death. In order for Bear to survive it's pretty simple, the player must:

  • Save Bear by cutting him loose before he hangs himself

Bear doesn't really see much in the way of screen time in As Dusk Falls, so it makes sense why the player doesn't get much closure to his storyline. The player isn't able to see how Bear ends up, but he will be mentioned by Jay that they are in contact, implying him being alive.

As Dusk Falls is now available on PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
