Another week, another Weekly Game Trailer Roundup. There’s a lot to cover here, so let’s get started. The games in question this week? Army Corps of Hell, Tactical Intervention, Dark Legends, Sins of the Solar Empire: Rebellion, SSX, Binary Domain, Alan Wake’s American Nightmare, and The Witcher 2: Assassin of Kings Enhanced Edition.

The offering of trailers this week focuses more on lesser known titles – which is actually a plus since there are a number of quality games that have been flying under the radar.

1. Army Corps of Hell Live Action Trailers

Square Enix released three live action trailers for their Pikmin inspired strategy game, Army Corps of Hell, focusing on the King of Hell wandering around the mortal plane to get back to his home. He believes that he has finally found hope, but instead, he finds Hell, Michigan. The King of Hell mills about the unfortunately named town and meets with locals and the mayor – and maybe learns a little something about humanity in the process. The multiplayer aspect of Army Corps of Hell was revealed in our previous WGTRU.

2. Tactical Intervention Teaser Trailer

Tactical Intervention comes from the mind of Minh Le, co-creator of the acclaimed online first person shooter, Counter-Strike. There’s very little known about the game currently but Tactical Intervention will be running on the Source engine and still follow the Counter-Terrorists versus Terrorist formula. A closed beta will be running in March and more information can be found on the Tactical Intervention homepage. Gameplay footage of the newest Counter-Strike incarnation, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive is also available for rod and cone stimulation.

Tactical Intervention has no set release date, but will be coming to PC.

3. Dark Legends Teaser Trailer

Spacetime Studios has released the first tease for their upcoming MMORPG entitled, Dark Legends. Can legends really be anything but dark? Probably, but this particular game has the player take control of a character who has been raised and sired by a vampire lord. In this particular world, vampires have been outed and humans are banding together to destroy the vicious bloodsucking horde. The teaser is a bit reminiscent of the Dead Island trailer that took the video game world by storm months ago – with the reverse playback.

Dark Legends will be releasing on PC, iOS, and Android in Q1 2012.

4. SSX Gameplay Video Batch and ‘Own the Planet: Siberia’

Promising extreme snowboarding title, SSX, will be releasing at the end of this month and EA Sports has released more trailers to get fans of virtual powder excited. The first three videos show off gameplay in the locations of Africa, the Alps, and the Himalayas to engage in all sorts of tomfoolery on the snow. The fourth video reveals the in-game intro video for Siberia. There has been no shortage of trailers released for SSX, the most recent focusing on character Elise Riggs.

SSX releases on February 28, 2012 for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

5. Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion First Trailer

Next up is the debut trailer for Ironclad and Stardock’s follow up to Sins of a Solar Empire – entitled Rebellion. It is just a teaser, but the scale is pretty huge and intense. Who doesn’t love a good old fashioned space battle? Rebellion will be a stand-alone expansion for the franchise – allowing new players to jump in.

Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion has no release date yet, but will be releasing on PC.

6. Alan Wake’s American Nightmare Developer Diary #2 and #3

Aside from the two developer diaries below for Alan Wake’s American Nightmare, the launch trailer for the XBLA-exclusive title has also started spreading across the internet. The second developer diary focuses on the various influences that helped create American Nightmare, such as sci-fi and urban legends, as well as how they helped shape the final product. The third and last diary sees the production team discussing the “Fight ‘Til Dawn” gameplay mode, which is American Nightmare‘s arcade mode – pitting Wake against hordes of enemies. The goal? Stay alive ’til dawn and rack up as many points as possible.

Alan Wake’s American Nightmare releases exclusively on Xbox 360 on February 22, 2012.

7. Binary Domain ‘Multiplayer’ Trailer

SEGA’s latest third person shooter offering, Binary Domain, developed by Studio Yakuza, has released a trailer with a distinct multiplayer flavor. Delayed until the end of February, Binary Domain multiplayer looks like a standard affair with Free For All and King of the Hill modes present. Check out the trailer below:

8. The Witcher 2: Assassin of Kings Enhanced Edition Developer Diary ‘Complex & Nonlinear Story’

The second developer diary for the upcoming Xbox 360 adaptation of The Witcher 2: Assassin of Kings Enhanced Edition (deep breath) has been released and takes the topic of storytelling into consideration. The first developer diary had discussed the actual matter of bringing the game to the Xbox 360. Now that the technology has been handled, CD Projekt RED brings attention to how player choice will be influencing each particular play-through of The Witcher 2. It’s not going to be just a regular binary choice, but rather fleshed out results that manifest throughout the story as well as the endgame.

Watch below and find out what’s in store.
