Arma 3 Magicka DLC DUST 514 Trailers

Below readers can find part two of the DUST 514 developer diaries, the "Lighting Showcase" trailer from Arma 3, and DLC trailer for Magicka that promises to raise the bar for all other digital content.

Welcome to New Eden, again. This new developer diary for DUST 514 comes to us as part two of an ongoing series. The first installment of the diary focused on what’s going to hook players and how it will work in conjunction with the EVE Online universe. Part two, again, brings us producer Thomas Farrer and art director Richard Dimond. In this second look they discuss how deadly the mercenary soldiers are as well as a fitting system that allows players to equip and effectively utilize armor, weapons, etc.

DUST 514 is set to launch in 2012, exclusively on PlayStation 3 and Vita.

Ready for a little more Magicka? A new DLC entitled "The Other Side of the Coin" is coming soon. Like the "Stars are Left" DLC, this download will expand the story in numerous ways. The content will not only include new story elements and challenges, it'll also flip the role of the characters - allowing players to game as villains. Through "The Other Side of the Coin," Arrowhead Games Studios will put users in the shoes of would-be evil-doers, Alucart the Vampire and his henchman, The Necromancers.

The Other Side of the Coin will also feature:

Didn't get your fill of developer diary content? We've also received a new behind-the-scenes video of Arma 3. This special video explains the visual enhancements, specifically the lighting, of the sequel. Lighting is a crucial part of any game - especially when trying to establish a realistic (or immersive) environment. The lighting showcase covers how the team has adapted the night/day time shifts as well as how, depending on the time, the lighting will affect the gameplay. All elements have been considered, including nighttime, gunfire - and underwater lighting.
