Studio Wildcard releases a trailer for the Xbox One version of Ark: Survival Evolved, and confirms exclusive content for the Xbox One version, such as a bionic T-Rex.

Ever since its stunning reveal trailerArk: Survival Evolved has been on the radar for many. The game is an open world, multiplayer-focused survival title, complete with dinosaurs, dragons, and more, so the enthusiasm behind it is understandable. Soon Xbox One owners will be able to see what all of the fuss is about as well, as Ark: Survival Evolved is releasing for the console next week.

Even though its full release is scheduled for June of next year, thanks to the Xbox Game Preview early access program, Xbox One owners can look forward to playing the game as soon as Wednesday, December 16th. It will retail for $34.99, a bit steep for an early access title, but those that purchase it now will be upgraded to the full version in June without any additional charge.

Something else to keep in mind is that the Xbox One version of Ark: Survival Evolved is releasing with three times the content that the PC version had upon release. Studio Wildcard has consistently updated the game since it launched on Steam Early Access, and plan on doing so for the Xbox One version as well.

In addition, Xbox One owners that pick up the early access version will be rewarded with some exclusive content. This includes an in-game Ark Founder's Trophy, as well as a Ark Founder's Hat skin. Xbox One owners will also have the chance to unlock an exclusive bionic T-Rex skin, which can be seen in action in the new trailer below.

Xbox One's early access program is still in its infancy, and as such, hasn't had a ton of big name games released for it yet. However, Ark: Survival Evolved may be the game to really drum up interest in the program, as the game has a proven track record, with over 1 million early access copies sold on PC so far. It would also make sense for those impressed by the trailer to pick up the game in its current form, as it will ultimately be cheaper than buying it at a later date.

Microsoft clearly has faith in Ark: Survival Evolved, as they proudly touted it as coming to the preview program at this past year's Gamescom event, and they also included it in their ID@Xbox montage at E3. The game has impressive graphics, massive scope, and its sales success indicates that it has wide appeal. Time will tell if Ark: Survival Evolved enjoys similar success on the Xbox One as it has on PC, but with its release in less than a week's time, we won't have to wait long to find out.

Ark: Survival Evolved will be available on December 16th as a part of the Xbox Game Preview early access program. The full release of the game is slated for June on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
