Arc System Works continues to produce some of the most high quality fighting games in the industry. Now fighting game fans can add another such title to the list, as Arc System Works has revealed its newest project. In partnership with Neople, Arc System Works has announced the development of Dungeon & Fighter Duel, stylized as DNF Duel. DNF Duel is based on the popular MMO beat 'em up from Neople Dungeon Fighter Online and has so far only been confirmed in South Korea.

DNF Duel was announced during Neople's big Dungeon Fighter Universe Festival, a showcase of upcoming games from Neople and the Dungeon Fighter brand. During the festival, DNF Duel was revealed with a short teaser trailer that showcases some of the game's cinematics and gameplay. The action will look similar to fans of Arc System Works' other games, like Guilty Gear and BlazBlue. Just imagine the cell-shaded anime style of those games with Dungeon Fighter Online characters.

No details were shared regarding DNF Duel's supported platforms or localization plans. Fans of Dungeon Fighter Online can likely expect the new fighting game to come to platforms other than PC, which Dungeon Fighter Online is exclusive to. And it's likely to be released worldwide, too, given the quality of and reach of Arc System Works' games.

A variety of other Dungeon Fighter Online projects were also showcased during the Dungeon Fighter Universe Festival. Neople's Project BBQ was teased again, a new trailer for DFO's Ozma 12-man raid was shared confirming an early 2021 release, DNF Mobile was also shown, and a new anime teased, as well. Like Riot Games is expanding League of Legends, it seems Neople has big plans for Dungeon Fighter Online. And Arc System Works' DNF Duel may be the most exciting of those spin-off projects yet.

DNF Duel is currently in development.
