Sometimes, the difference between a victory and loss in battle royale games such as Respawn Entertainment's Apex Legends is the ability to close the distance quickly. This may be the concept behind the leaked character Octane who will reportedly get a bump in speed and a launchpad to stay mobile in combat. Respawn's BR already features a small form of quick travel with the ziplines placed across the map, but those who have used one know that it makes those riding it practically defenseless.

However, cultural icon Ninja and fellow streamer TimTheTatMan found a glitch that makes ziplining in the midst of a firefight much easier. This Apex Legends glitch doesn't make the player invincible, as they are still capable of being hit, but this glitch reduces the likelihood of that by a large margin. It's likely that this glitch is patched out before long, but many may want to try it out beforehand.

Essentially, when riding a zipline, players can spam the ride button to bounce on the zip line as they go down. Instead of riding along the bottom side, Apex Legends players end up bunny hopping across the top. Not only does this method confuse the other player, but the added mobility shifts the hitbox of the player considerably.

Using this in combat, as seen below, is an effective way to close the distance in Apex Legends and take as little damage as possible. This method can also be the difference between life and death, as TimTheTatMan had taken a considerable amount of damage before spamming the glitch. It occurs around the 6:00-minute mark below, where players can see this glitch in action.

Of course, this isn't the first glitch to be found in Apex Legends. One bug lets players fly around for the entirety of the match, but the launch of Apex has been more polished than other BRs initially. If this continues as the game enters its first official season, it's likely to maintain its popularity.

Apex Legends is out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
