Respawn Entertainment has poured a lot of effort into Apex Legends and continues to do so. The developer has committed to quality, even if it means delays for Apex Legends in some areas.

Of course, not everything has been perfect. A live service battle royale game like Apex Legends requires constant maintenance and updates. This causes glitches and bugs, but also discontent among players due to changes being made for one reason or another. There's been a lot of those changes in Apex Legends lately, and players have not been shy about letting Respawn know about it. As a result, Respawn sent out a patch to address some of the biggest areas of player complaints.

The biggest complaints, by far, have been in regards to the Season 7 Battle Pass and challenge system. In an effort to streamline how the pass works, a new Star system was introduced. This coincided with a change to weekly challenges that made them reward stars and encouraged trying new Legends. After Stars disappeared at the end of a week and players complained about the system, it was clear something had to change. In the new patch, Respawn sets the challenges back to their Season 6 state and has rewarded all players with 10 levels in the battle pass.

While some replies express disbelief that this will fix things, others indicate it's certainly a step in the right direction. This comes after an earlier readjustment of Apex Legends' battle pass, which cut the XP required to get a Star in half. Players were not entirely satisfied with that solution either, so it's debatable whether this change will be enough. There's a real chance that the only satisfactory way Respawn could handle this would be to revamp the battle pass system again, or perhaps un-vamp it to the way it was before.

The other major fixes are to a pair of bugs. One has been equally reviled and laughed at by fans: Rampart's turret being placed on Crypto's drone. This is the second time Rampart's ultimate has been made OP by an exploit with another Legend, although this time fans were much more amused.

The second bug fix has been met with near-universal happiness in replies to the tweet. It concerns the "audio adjustments," which deal with a series of bugs players have complained about for some time. The worst of these was a bug allowing Apex Legends players to hear sounds from across the map, causing auditory misinformation and overload. Hopefully, it is completely gone now.

Apex Legends is available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. Mobile and Switch versions are in development.
