Apex Legends Season 5 has officially begun, and it has brought some new content to Respawn Entertainment's popular battle royale title. Perhaps the most exciting piece of content is Loba, a brand new legend, but there is also a new item called Treasure Packs that may be piquing some fan's interest. Whether a player is curious about how to get Treasure Packs in Apex Legends or just wants to know what they are for, this guide has all the answers.
To put things simply, Apex Legends' Treasure Packs are used to unlock weekly Hunts, new PvE activities that were added with Season 5. Over the course of the Season, there will be nine of these weekly Hunts, and together they makeup Apex Legends' first PvE quest, "The Broken Ghost." The ultimate goal of this quest is to locate nine pieces of an artifact in Kings Canyon, and each of these pieces will come from a distinct weekly Hunt.
With respect to how many Apex Legends Treasure Packs players need in order to unlock a single weekly Hunt, the answer is five. As such, players that want to complete the entire PvE quest in Apex Legends will need to collect a total of 45 Treasure Packs, and fans that are interested in obtaining the unnamed rewards that come at the end of "The Broken Ghost" should plan accordingly.
Fortunately, it is quite easy to obtain Treasure Packs in Apex Legends, as they simply appear in loot containers when playing Duos, Trios, or Ranked. Outlined in red, Treasure Packs do not take up any space in a player's backpack, and they cannot be lost once looted. However, fans can only earn one Apex Legends Treasure Pack per day, which means that they will need to play somewhat consistently if they want to complete "The Broken Ghost" before Season 5 ends.
While this newest season of Apex Legends is off to a bit of a rocky start, what it is bringing to the table is sure to have many fans very excited. Hopefully players that are currently experiencing issues will see those resolved shortly and will be able to check out Apex Legends' changed map and earn some Treasure Packs for themselves very soon.
