Respawn Entertainment's popular Battle Royale title Apex Legends is currently undergoing some of its biggest changes yet. Season 3 not only introduced the hacker character Crypto to the playable roster, but the entire map was swapped out for the much more visually diverse World's End location. The developer has loads of new content on the way as well including a new limited time Halloween event as well as one of the most requested modes from fans.

In the first episode of Respawn's Devstream, the studio revealed that a completely revamped Training mode is coming to Apex Legends. Currently, players are only able to play as Lifeline to learn the basics of the game, though with this new mode, that's going to completely change. In the new Firing Range mode, players will have more control by being able to switch to any unlocked character, change weapons, use different attachments, try out abilities, and move around the map at their own pace.

Red target dummies will also be scattered around the map, serving as a great place to test out different weapons and attacks. Better yet, it was confirmed that players will be able to bring squadmates into the experience as well. While there's no hard and fast release date for the Firing Range update, the team did say that it would be available at some point in the current Season 3.

Following that reveal, the stream goes into the upcoming Fight or Fright Halloween event, which kicks off for everyone tomorrow on October 15. The event adds plenty of new loot to chase, unlock, and craft including special skins like a Clown outfit for Caustic or Vampire Crypto. The event also promises to be more inclusive for solo players thanks to the Shadowfall mode. Essentially, 35 solo players drop into a night version of King's Canyon and upon being defeated, the player is revived as a member of the Shadow Squad to stop the living players from escaping.

Apex Legends is available now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
