Apex Legends is the most recent battle royale game to become insanely popular, passing 25 million players in just one week. Now, a data mine leak has suggested that some features from Respawn's other franchise, Titanfall, may be making their way into the BR game.

The data mine appears to show that Apex Legends will be getting some familiar features in an upcoming update, including wall-running, double jumping, and Titans. However, the features only seem to be enabled within a new mode called "Classic", which could indicate that Apex Legends is also getting a multiplayer mode akin to Titanfall's Attrition.

Another leak from the same user shows several different lines of code pertaining to titans, which could indicate that the giant mechs may also be making their way into the game. Respawn had originally included titans and wall running in Apex Legends, but decided to cut the features to create a more strategic game that's easier to learn. However, it does make sense that the features could co-exist within two separate game modes, giving players the freedom to play however they choose.

Ever since Apex Legends' surprisingly sudden release, many potential features have leaked through data mining. Just a few days ago, miners found evidence that the game will be getting solo and duo modes, as well as evidence of new characters and their release dates. These updates will likely keep fans coming back for more, and it's good to see Respawn attempting to regularly introduce more content into the game.

While all these leaks should have fans excited, Respawn hasn't officially confirmed anything yet. It's entirely possible that the leaks aren't true or won't make it through testing phases, so fans should take all the information with a grain of salt. Still, these features do seem great if they turn out to be true.

Hopefully, Respawn will be able to implement everything fans have been asking for and continues to create interesting new characters for the game. Apex Legends is already on track to potentially become bigger than Fortnite, and new content would certainly help speed up that timeline.

Apex Legends available now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
