Streamers have gotten used to the occasional troll in their broadcasts, but lately it seems that hackers have been taking it to a new level. The popular battle royale Apex Legends has had its own share of issues, with prominent streamers often paying the price. One specific hacker, who goes by the name Tufi, is known for aim-botting and forcing themself into the highest ranking matches in the game, the Predator lobby, where some of the best streamers sit. Popular streamers have been forced to comply with this hacker's demands in Apex Legends or have their rank potentially damaged.

It has become a real problem in the game, as anyone with enough money can buy an exploit, or multiple, and take advantage of the other players in the game. There are currently anti-cheat systems in place in Apex Legends, but it falls short of what is needed and hackers like Tufi have not been ashamed of pointing it out. There is anti-cheat software, but hackers are known for finding ways to bypass those systems, making it useless against moderate level cheaters. Some have suggested that implementing an actual in-game system that would deal with hackers, but at this point, it seems Respawn has to do something more to end Tufi's Reign of Terror.

Tufi's Terror

One of the most prominent cheaters in Apex Legends right now, Tufi has been forcing themself into the Predator lobbies, which host only the top players in the world. The players are ranked on how much RP they have, but because the cost is so high, many do not want to go up against Tufi as it could hurt their overall standing. In the video above, which features an interview with Tufi themself, the hacker lays out their feelings on why they continue to do it. In summation, they think messing with streamers rank and income is funny.

Some streamers have begun to fight back and not listen to Tufi's demands, on the other hand, with ShivFPS killing him twice in a stream. Although Apex Legends streamer ShivFPS got a ban for his bad choice of words after, a lot of fans have been grateful in his endeavor to fight back to make the game more fair. The euphoria someone like Tufi gets is multiplied when a streamer decides to give in to some random person's weird games instead of banding together to take that cheater down.

ShivFPS has since appealed his suspension, stating that he feels he was justified in his language due to Tufi's boastful record of messing with prominent streamers. Ultimately, it's up to Twitch's streamer moderation team to see if ShivFPS has a case.

How to Compare Tufi's Reign of Terror in Apex Legends

Fixing something like this is a lot easier said than done. There are people who are making a fair amount of money creating and manipulating exploits for games like Apex Legends, and it's unlikely they have any plans to give up on a revenue stream. However, popular FPS games have implemented things on the game-side that have worked as good as the best anti-cheat software. However, with Tufi seemingly and constantly being able to pass this, it must be frustrating for Respawn Entertainment to combat him and seemingly fail time and again. It has to do something to end his Reign of Terror, as this falls on the developer's shoulders.

Apex Legends is available now on Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
