In less than two weeks, Apex Legends season 10 will launch, with Respawn Entertainment likely revealing more and more as it gets closer. For example, fans know they can expect new details about the recently-revealed Seer at EA Play Live, but other already confirmed changes include a shake-up on World's Edge, Ranked Arenas, the new Rampage LMG, and more.

Every season, of course, the biggest shift in Apex Legends' meta is the new character. Seer, whose real name is Obi Edolasim, is an Igbo man (an ethnic group found all over Africa but primarily in Nigeria), and his character design also involves deceptions, moths, and more. Fans are still waiting to learn more about Seer, but that hasn't stopped comparisons to a viral Tiktok star.

William Knight has gotten a lot of attention on TikTok lately, with over 760,000 followers for his often-hilarious videos. His signature approach, if it can be called that, is to wear a matching black jacket and black hat, to stare without blinking into the camera, and inform people as they move off-screen (sometimes jokingly being "obliterated" by Knight ) that "there's no such thing as coincidence." His viral interactions have led some to compare him to an Oblivion NPC in his TikTok videos, but now those comparisons have turned toward Apex Legends.

Many made jokes about this in the comments of Seer's reveal, proving the comparisons to Knight were practically immediate. In fact, Knight himself got in on the comparison posting the above a few hours after Seer's trailer debuted. The choice of a dark hat with similar clothing, as well as an added emphasis on the eyes, makes the comparison rather clear, but it's also entirely coincidence. Knight made his TikTok debut at the end of 2020, with Seer being a character revealed through Apex Legends datamines yer quite some time ago.

Furthermore, Apex Legends characters and skins often get compared to other characters, real-world people, and more. For example, some players have compared one Revenant skin to Pokemon as it makes his shoulders look like Pokeballs, while the Bulletville developer accused Respawn of ripping Fuse off one of its characters. Ultimately, this isn't the first time or the last time an Apex Legends character has been compared to someone or something else, and it won't be the last.

No matter what, it'll be interesting to see Seer in action at EA Play Live and when Apex Legends season 10 launches, while the same can be said of William Knight's TikTok virality.

Apex Legends is available now for PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One, with PS5 and Xbox Series X upgrades in the works.
