Respawn Entertainment recently confirmed that Season 9 will feature Titanfall content in a way that the game has not yet seen. Fans are thrilled about this, as the games share the same universe but could lean more into that. Whether it be Apex Legends finally bringing the rumored Arena Mode into the game, the game seeing Titanfall characters as Legends, and or more Titanfall lore sneaking its way into the game, there is a lot to wish for with Season 9.
Arena Mode in Apex Legends and Titanfall Maps
Fans have been asking for quite some time for some sort of deathmatch or objective-based game outside of the standard battle royale, with the former being what Titanfall's bread and butter is. Players of Respawn Entertainment's popular multiplayer game may not have to wait long because Arena Mode may be coming to Apex Legends, according to a recent leak. The datamined leak details information about a flyover section, the fact that players can earn badges in the mode, and more.
Additionally, Respawn Entertainment recently celebrated hitting the 100 million player count in Apex Legends and teased some big news in the coming days. That information appears to be something for Season 9, and it looks to be a new map that could be for the Arena Mode. The image in the tease looks closer to a map from Titanfall than something from Apex Legends. Shaking up the Apex Legends formula by allowing players to take their favorite Legends into smaller and condensed levels, still with those special abilities, would be good for the game's longevity.
Titanfall Characters in Apex Legends
The biggest mystery going into any new season of Apex Legends is who the new character will be. Leading up to this season, there have been plenty of rumors that a Titanfall character will be in the game. Whether that be Ash, Blisk, or someone else, fans have been dying to see more of a crossover between the games.
With Season 9 set to begin for Apex Legends in just a few weeks, fans still do now know what that character will be or where it will come from, but there is a chance that it will be from the Titanfall universe. So far, each new Legend has been one created from the ground up for Apex Legends, but it would be intriguing to see someone from Titanfall make the jump over into Apex Legends.
More Titanfall Lore in Apex Legends
There have been leaked or datamined abilities for Blisk for Apex Legends, a character that is from Titanfall that has already hade his way to Apex Legends as a side-character. Many fans would love to see him in the game, or any character from Titanfall. Apex Legends takes place years after the wars of Titanfall, so seeing characters from a more gritty and difficult time would be very interesting from a story perspective, along with whatever crazy abilities they bring to the table.
Recently Respawn Entertainment dropped a video of Bangalore and Wraith fighting over an old Pilot knife from the Titanfall days, and this kind of story could be hinting at the game dipping its toes into the Titanfall lore. That would mean a lot to fans of both series. There are a lot of players who want to see Titanfall 3 eventually announced and released. In the meantime, there are plenty of opportunities for the game to see crossover story and content in Apex Legends.
