Apex Legends season 8 is just a few weeks away, although very little is known about it at this moment. Fans of the battle royale game can have some reasonable expectations for Apex Legends season 8, such as a new character, buffs and nerfs (with Wraith confirmed to get a nerf), and an array of other updates. And now, designer director Jason McCord has confirmed another is coming in season 8.

At the end of every match, Apex Legends players can see statistics such as the total number of kills and damage done. Mid-game, though, players can only see the number of kills and assists they have at any given moments. Fans have been wanting to see total damage done so far mid-match, and it seems that new Damage Tracker is coming in Season 8.

Although what it looks like is up in the air, chances are it'll appear in the top right of the screen right next to kills and assists. This has been in the works for a couple months now, with it last being commented on back in October. Either way, as long as it hits, Apex Legends players will be able to see how much damage they do from fight to fight in the game.

With roughly three weeks to go until season 8, it seems that Apex Legends is mounting itself for a new "high." The Fight Night event should be happening soon, season 8 is likely bringing in some meta changes, and Apex Legends is teasing that season 9 will have "major things" involved. Of course, Season 9 is a couple of months away, but it seems safe to say the popular BR game isn't slowing down in 2021 as a result.

Apex Legends is available now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One, with a Switch version in development.
