Apex Legends is currently in Season 6 and dataminers have been hard at work trying to figure out what could be coming next in Season 7. The Apex Legends Fight or Fright event started yesterday and with it, new animations and a new charm have popped up in game files. Based on these additions, many believe that big changes could be coming in Season 7.

Reliable dataminer "Shrugtal" was able to find a quest completion reward, which is a legendary charm that appears to be a hover vehicle with a driver's seat and two passenger seats on the side. "Shrugtal" suggests that the Season 6 vehicle banners and the charm are hinting at vehicles possibly coming to Apex Legends in Season 7.

The dataminer was also able to find new animations that clearly show character models riding in invisible seats. The hover vehicle has odd seating, with both passengers sitting on the side of the vehicle facing outwards. The positioning of the character models also matches up perfectly with the seating of the hover vehicle charm, further proving the theory that the vehicle will be rideable in-game. The discovery of vehicles possibly coming to Apex Legends adds to the leaks already found coming to Season 7 including new weapons and skins.

As of now, Apex Legends is one of the only battle royale titles that does not have vehicles in any game mode. Battle Royale titles like Call of Duty: Warzone and Fortnite have added vehicles to quickly navigate the map and use for combat. Apex Legends does have faster character navigation in general, but with more content filling the map, it could perhaps benefit from faster travel options.

Apex Legends was one of the first battle royale titles to add the train system, which ran through most of the World's Edge map. However, the train was dismantled in Season 6 and players once again have to navigate on foot. It is a possibility that developers shut the train down to make way for vehicles in Season 7, but fans will have to wait until the start of the next season.

Season 7 may even be arriving sooner than anticipated. According to "Shrugtal", Season 7 was expected to start on November 10th, but the dataminer found text indicating the end of Season 6 and the start of Season 7 on November 4th. If true, Season 7 will start directly after the end of the Fight or Fright event, so the Halloween festivities will wrap up with the start of a brand new season.

Apex Legends is available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One with a Switch version currently in development.
