Apex Legends season 5 is right around the corner, with Respawn Entertainment releasing the season 5 trailer today. Season 5: Fortune's Favor doesn't officially start until May 12, but it's clear that some big changes are coming to the game.

Loba has officially been shown off, with some of her abilities displayed in cinematic fashion. Her ability to throw a disc and teleport, and her ability to steal loot, has long been rumored for the Season 5 Legend, but that's not even the biggest change revealed so far. In fact, Apex Legends Season 5 trailer confirms the upcoming season will do away with Skull Town.

As many likely know, Skull Town is one of the hottest drops and biggest battlefields on Apex Legends' Kings Canyon map. Sometimes, the winner of the game is decided here, and as a point of comparison, it's basically Fortnite's Tilted Towers from the old days. Its destruction means the entire map meta is bound to change.

The beginning of the trailers shows Skull Town getting bombed, as Loba pursues her revenge. It appears that a Revenant factory (for his bodies and where his operating head is?) is located beneath Skull Town, and Loba's on a mission to destroy them. How this plays out in Apex Legends remains to be seen, but fans may want to enjoy Skull Town as much as possible until May 12.

Apex Legends is out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
