Season 11 of Apex Legends is more than halfway complete, meaning that the game is currently in the second Ranked split of the season. Along with a soft reset to player rankings, Ranked play in the battle royale has swapped out the new Storm Point map for the ever-popular World’s Edge. Recently, one fan discovered an exploit that made collecting high-tier loot easier at various locations around this map.

Apex Legends includes 3 maps, each with unique features to help differentiate them. On World’s Edge, one of these features is loot vaults. With 3 locations scattered across the map, these vaults contain high-value items. Some of the loot found in these spots includes gold gear, such as Backpacks, Evo Shields, and Knockdown Shields. Unsurprisingly, these loot vaults can give squads a potential advantage during firefights, meaning accessing them is a high priority.

Recently, one player known as rossbobsquirrel on TikTok found a way to access loot vaults without a key by playing the turret-wielding Legend Rampart. In a video shared by the gamer, they revealed the steps necessary for pulling off the exploit. First, players need to face away from the vault and place Shelia as close as possible to the door. According to the gamer, the next step is to place 2 Amped Covers in front of the deployable turret, along with 2 more on the sides.

Once these setup steps are complete, rossbobsquirrel noted that players must jump onto the turret. Once on the gun, players need to hold down on the analog stick on a controller or hold S on a keyboard. While continuing to hold down or S, players then must jump off the turret. Dismounting from the machine gun should cause the player to bounce back and glitch inside the vault door, giving them access to the loot inside.

For those wondering if there is a way to get out of the vault using the glitch, players can use Rampart's Shelia in conjunction with Revenant’s Death Totem ability. Using the simulacrum’s ultimate, a player can activate death protection before entering the vault. Once inside, they can quickly gather what loot they need and then damage themselves with grenades to be sent back to the totem situated outside the room.

It will be interesting to see the response from the developers at Respawn Entertainment in regards to this exploit. This glitch offers a convenient way for some players to snag some valuable loot. However, it could be frustrating for other squads that open a loot vault only to find it already ransacked. Time will tell if and when this exploit is removed from Apex Legends.

Apex Legends is available now for PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
