Winning a match of Apex Legends is no easy task. The battle royale release's fast-paced action, small map, and loot scarcity means players are thrown into firefight after firefight from start to finish. Everyone's first Championship first-place finish is a memorable achievement. But in the case of veteran marine and Twitch streamer toeyouup, that first win might be a bit more special than others.

As befits his Twitch user name, Tony Vaitkevich plays video games by holding and using a controller with his left arm and his opposite foot. He uses his hand to control both joysticks and his toes to pull the right trigger. According to his Twitch profile, Vaitkevich lost his right arm in a motorcycle accident at the age of 24. Since then he has adapted to his situation and made the most of it, using his foot in place of his hand. As is evident by his Apex Legends performance, it's not even slowing him down.

Caught in a Twitch clip (which can be viewed right here), Vaitkevich's victory came down to the wire. The clip starts with both of Vaitkevich's teammates downed. He shoots a nearby opponent and, not knowing whether their squad is nearby, rushes to pick up his own nearby downed squad mate who's playing as Bloodhound. Little does Vaitkevich know that the opponent he downed is the final surviving opponent and that the match hasn't ended, because the opposing player has a Golden Knockdown Shield. For those unaware, the Golden Knockdown Shield allows players to self-revive.

Vaitkevich picks up his squadmate and turns to do the same for his other comrade, which puts his back to the self-reviving opponent. Luckily for Vaikevich, one of his teammates is watching the downed opponent and keeps his squad hilariously and dramatically updated:

"Is she dying or dead? She's healing? What is she doing up there? She's still up!"

It's at this point Vaitkevich turns just in time to see the now-returned opponent pick off his recently revived teammate with a single well-placed headshot. Thanks to the help of his watchful squad memeber, Vaitkevich is more than prepared now. He takes down the revived opponent and wins the match. She won't be getting back up a second time. One can see the flash of fear be replaced by excitement as Vaitkevich puts his arm up in celebration, followed by a deep breath and a look of relief at his webcam and audience.

In this case, it looks like two arms aren't necessary to carry a team to victory. This is likely just the first of many upcoming Apex Legends victories for toeyouup.

Apex Legends is available now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
