Apex Legends recently received a new map for Season 7, Olympus, and while many players have been enjoying it, a few have been reporting problems. One major issue sees Apex Legends fans getting stuck in a certain spot on the new map, with the bugged location quickly killing them after they're trapped.

Olympus features hidden details, but unlucky Legends that have stumbled upon the map’s so-called “death spot” may have preferred if this frustrating issue stayed undiscovered. One of the most infamous locations on the battle royale’s latest map is the Grow Towers, and while players can often be seen having shootouts in the massive, curved buildings, getting inside them can apparently be a deadly task.

One Reddit user by the name of WOAHderWOAHder likely prefers the World’s Edge map over Olympus after the death spot cost them their life. The clip begins with the player attempting to climb into the Grow Tower, but failing to clear the edge. However, while the rest of the player’s team was fine, the clip shows that WOAHderWOAHder had somehow gotten trapped on the curved floor of the tower. With the player clipping through the curved texture and seeing the sky below, it quickly becomes clear that something is not right.

The confused gamer quickly begins spamming buttons, doing everything they can to escape the death spot. However, with nothing seeming to work, the player stops moving for a moment — only to instantly die via the broken spot. While the player was using Lifeline, the healing skills from Lifeline’s invulnerable healing drone could have done nothing to help the player, as their body crumbled and fell as the death barrier killed them. The brutal, random death is confusing to say the least, and players should clearly be careful when entering a Grow Tower.

Many commenters voiced similar frustrations regarding the tower, such as BranislavBGD who said “that first curve that you have to deal with is sooo annoying!” Another commenter said the tower had “atrocious design,” while a user named Mirage_Main mentioned that the towers can cause motion sickness and cause issues with depth perception. Considering that players can already fall off the Olympus map, the location seems to be plenty challenging as is without the bugged first curve of the Grow Tower.

While players may be divided on Wraith’s upcoming nerf, everyone should be able to agree that the Grow Towers need to see a quick fix from Respawn. While the death spot being patched out of Apex Legends will likely not make players hate the Grow Towers location any less than they do currently, a fix for the death spot should still happen regardless.

Apex Legends is available now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One, with a Switch version arriving sometime next year.
