Season 10 of Apex Legends is underway, and fans of the competitive Battle Royale have been enjoying the new content. Even a number of new players have been migrating over to Respawn’s game. Following issues with hackers in Call of Duty: Warzone, popular streamers such as NICKMERCS have started playing Apex Legends, and it seem like they can't get enough of Ranked mode. However, not everything has been perfect in the latest edition of the game. Some players have encountered an unusual bug that has been disrupting Battle Royale matches this Season.

Recently, gamers have started to hear loud music at random times in games. One Reddit user known as Skyrider_Epsilon shared a clip of his team playing a game on World's Edge. Quite unexpectedly and humorously, music starts to play in the clip. As time passes, the sound continues, building towards a crescendo. According to users on Reddit, the particular music track heard by Skyrider_Epsilon comes from a music pack for Fuse from Season 8. However, not every match where the glitch occurs plays the same track. Another player on Reddit noted that they heard the music track for the Holo-Day Bash event for some reason while in their game.

Unfortunately, Respawn Entertainment has yet to comment on the problem. For a game that relies heavily on the ability to hear enemy footsteps, this loud music playing unexpectedly during a match can make it difficult to hear approaching teams. While the issue is obviously frustrating, at least it appears to impact everyone in the same lobby.

Luckily for fans that want the glitch removed, there apparently is a fix for the problem. Until the developers manage to patch Apex Legends, turning off menu music seems to fix the problem. While this does remove some of the immersion, as this turns off all music from menus and loading screens, it does stop problematic music from playing during a match.

While this glitch is no doubt frustrating for those that encounter it, this isn’t Apex Legends’ first issue with glitches. After the release of Loba at the start of Season 5, players had problems when attempting to use her teleportation bracelet. Oftentimes, Loba’s Tactical would fail to teleport the player, leaving them exposed and sometimes lead to an untimely death. Other issues included the 4-man squad bug in Apex Legends, where the game improperly filled a team with four players, resulting in uneven fights.

It will be interesting to see if Respawn is able to address this glitch in Season 10 of Apex Legends. Either way, at least players seem to have a workaround to stop this glitch from blasting their game with loud music. While the tracks in the game are quite good, they’re probably better left for the lobby.

Apex Legends is available now for PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
