With the new mobile version of Apex Legends in players' hands already, they can expect to see a ton of new elements from exclusive legends to new modes. Respawn brought many things over from the main version of Apex Legends that made it all better. One of those things is the modes that have been added, such as the Team Deathmatch mode, which can only be played on Apex Legends Mobile.

The Team Deathmatch mode pits two teams of six against each other, and the first team to get thirty points wins. Like the main battle royale mode of Apex Legends, players must only pick one legend. There are two types of Team Deathmatch: one in which players spawn in their respective points, and the other in which players can spawn anywhere on the map. Regardless of spawn mode, Team Deathmatch plays the same, however it is faster than other modes in Apex Legends Mobile. Team Deathmatch requires some time to get used to because it forces players to unlearn the battle royale aspect. However, with these tips, players should easily adapt to the new playstyle in no time.

5 Teamwork & Communication Are Essential

This is rule is universal in the Apex Legends world regardless of mode. Communication and understanding the team's dynamics make up a huge component of the mobile version. With that knowledge, teams can overcome most of the pressure being applied to them. If players know how their team works, they can communicate that effectively and make those call-outs. A team that works together well will respond to the call in a much better way than a team that's disorganized.

Plus, if a team knows the meta of the members, then Team Deathmatch becomes a lot easier. Players should know and understand the best ways for not just their own legend, but the team member's legends, to be effective. Communication is the best way to bridge that gap. When the team is on the same page, winning comes more easily.

4 Choosing Weapons

Another huge aspect of Apex Legend Mobile is the weapons. Like armor, they can make or break a player's kit. Just like in the battle royale, the weapons are crucial in Team Deathmatch, since they can make it easier or harder on players depending on how they use the weapons. Just like in Arenas, players and their team members get to pick their loadout just before the match — but unlike Arenas, there are no ammo drops. If players are going through enemies with ease, just note that when the gun runs out of ammo, they'll need to pick up another weapon.

The weapons players can pick from the start are plentiful. However, players can better guns via care packages that are scattered around the map whenever they drop. Be careful, though, as those care packages could become kill boxes — as they drop, the opposing team will ready to pick off any players interacting with them. Going after care packages is high-risk, high-reward. Players can expect to find better guns and other items within care packages.

3 Team Composition

This is another way in which communication is key. It helps to know what team members which legends, allowing the other members of the team to adjust. This starts with picking the legend that works best for the players and complements the team's meta. The best part about Apex Legends is that while the picking the right legend helps, learning each legend's ultimates can turn the course of the match in player's favor. It all depends on how each player uses the legend and the ultimate.

Team Deathmatch is a great way for players to learn the legends and make picking them a lot easier. The mode is also a great way for players to get out of their comfort zone. When one player picks a legend, that legend becomes unusable for other team members, forcing other players to pick other legends. This way, players can learn all the legends and see if the other characters are right for them as well.

2 Mode Specific Legend

This tip is an optional one because it does change from player to player. Just like in the main version of Apex Legends, selecting a legend for the situation can make life easier for the player and their squad. If players pick contextual legends like Lifeline, who can heal faster; or Octane, who can cover more ground, then getting the win comes with ease. Not all legends work well in the Team Deathmatch mode, and not all guarantee the best outcome because not all legends are equal.

Some legends work in other modes and some work in all modes. If players experiment with which legend works for them in Team Deathmatch, then learning the rest of the game comes more organically.

1 Looting Up

Just like the weapons, players are loaded into a round of Team Deathmatch with equally leveled guns with almost the same attachments. This rule applies to the armor as well. However, just like weapons, players can get better armor from care packages or the many loot crates littered around the map. One of the many reasons Apex Legends' decently balanced battle royale mechanics transfer over to the other modes is that it allows all players to start off on the same level. In turn, it becomes more about skill rather than the player's legend and the weapon they pick.

In Team Deathmatch, players can play better as they get better gear, with skill emphasizing the way they play. The best part about Apex Legends Mobile, just like in the base game, is that looting also helps gamers adapt to different playstyles. Loot does play a huge role, just the legends that players pick. Combining these two factors makes Apex Legends Mobile a much more achievable game to win than others.

Apex Legends Mobile is now available on iOS and Android.
