Apex Legends can be great for high-level play and highlight moments. Among the top battle royales, Apex Legends may be the flashiest thanks in part to its wide range of Legends to choose from. That was on display recently when a player posted a video of themselves launching through the air with Pathfinder in one of the most impressive Grappling Hook kills one might see.

Whether it be Octane propelling himself high in the sky off his launch pads, Mirage bamboozling enemies, or Horizon pulling opponents into one location for a devastating attack with her Black Hole Ultimate, Apex Legends has countless big-play opportunities. Pathfinder may be the Legend who has the most highlight ability, however, as players have mastered his Grappling Hook to flick themselves and launch great distances with incredible accuracy. In the case of a Reddit user who posted a video yesterday, the clip is more like something that Batman would pull off.

Reddit user u/TrashAllRoles posted a video to r/apexlegends that is almost unbelievable at first glance. While fighting on World's Edge in Fragment, a Valkyrie user started jetpacking away with their VTOL Jets in an attempt to escape the battle. However, the Pathfinder player had different plans, as u/TrashAllRoles hit the Valkyrie directly with the Grappling Hook and flew directly towards her--punching her upon impact in the middle of the air. The punch eliminated the Valkyrie, concluding what was an extremely dramatic 7-second clip.

The two were fighting on top of the skyscraper-like building before the Valkyrie player flew off, so the Pathfinder was able to interrupt her escape in the middle of the sky. The exciting play looks like it could be clipped out of a trailer for Apex Legends. Thus far, the video has over 30,000 upvotes and plenty of comments on the social media platform.

As jovial as this clip is, it is not all good news from some fans' perspective in the battle royale first-person shooter. Recently Respawn Entertainment revealed that it was removing tap-strafing from Apex Legends. The high-level movement maneuver was considered more of an exploit than a designed feature, but it did allow for quicker play and more highlight-reel moments, so some players are upset. That being said, Apex Legends continues to be one of the most popular shooters on the market. Players come back for its high-octane moments, fast-paced action, and competition. Plus, there is always the chance for a seemingly once-in-a-lifetime moment thanks to the Legends and the unique playstyles.

Apex Legends is available now for PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
