A new Apex Legends leak offers a glimpse of a potential new map that's seemingly in development. While no official announcements have been made, players may expect the "moon" map in a future Apex Legends season.

Two years since launch, Apex Legends is currently 11 seasons strong with more on the way. The popular battle royale continues to draw fans with its roster of characters, maps, gameplay, and other forms of content that it uses to build its lore. A recent leak suggests that Respawn has at least nine new Apex Legends characters mapped out. Now, another leak points to a new map that fans could expect to hit the game in an upcoming season.

A post on the ApexUncovered subreddit from user Legitimate_Chapter82 claims a new space-based map is in the works. It's a moon map that seems to be set in the middle of an asteroid belt. Following the latest round of Apex Legends leaks, a video of the "Divided Moon" map has been made public on the same subreddit. While the video shows the map to be in the early development stages, it also offers a closer look at what players can potentially expect in terms of gameplay and design aesthetic.

Nothing much is known about the possible map. However, the subreddit post mentions that if Respawn follows its usual map release patterns, players may see Divided Moon by Season 15. Furthermore, fans speculate that the new map may be located on Typhon. Those familiar with Titanfall 2 would recognize Typhon as the planet for the game's primary setting on campaign mode. However, it's unclear how long fans will have to wait until the potential new content becomes officially available. It may be a while, considering Apex Legends lead map designers' recent departure.

With Respawn continuing to expand its lore with deeper connections to Titanfall 2, the Typhon speculation could turn out to be a real possibility. But Respawn is yet to provide any official update on such an upcoming map or about any of the recent round of leaks. Additionally, the developer is already facing more cheating problems with rampant hackers on Apex Legends Mobile, which is barely a month into the launch and only available in limited regions. It's a tricky time for the gaming studio to navigate around, especially with growing competition in the battle royale space amid anxious fans. Though, these leaks would serve as the perfect teaser for players with high expectations for new and exciting content on Apex Legends.

Apex Legends is available now on PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One. Mobile is available in some regions; PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions are in development.
