Apex Legends Season 10 (or whatever it ends up being called) is still most likely a month or so away. But while Respawn may not be sharing any actual details any time soon, dataminers believe they've already found information pertaining to the next season. For starters, it's believed that Season 10's new playable Legend will be named either Seer or Pariah, and now one dataminer is claiming to have found proof of a new kind of Apex Pack.

According to GarretLeaks, who is considered a reliable source of Apex Legends information, there is code in the game which reference something called thematic packs. Apex Packs are essentially the game's version of loot boxes, which can either be earned in-game or purchased with real-world currency. They contain various types of cosmetics, but players won't know which ones they'll get until they've bought the pack.

However, these new thematic packs will apparently make acquiring certain cosmetics a lot easier. That's because they will be character specific. Basically, every available Legend in the game will have their own Apex Pack that only contains cosmetics related to that character. So, should a player wish to obtain new cosmetics for, say, Wattson, they can buy a Wattson pack to guarantee it rather than going for the more random, regular Apex Packs.

On top of that, it will be impossible for players to obtain duplicates of cosmetics they already own. The new character packs will only distribute cosmetics that haven't been acquired yet, making it much easier to complete a character's set. And once a player gets every cosmetic for a particular Legend, the respective pack will function like a normal one.

While it obviously has yet to be confirmed by Respawn, no doubt fans will be very receptive to these thematic packs. There are 17 different playable Legends as of Season 9 (or Legacy as it's officially called) but some players will gravitate to only a couple, sometimes even one, so opening packs and earning cosmetics for a character they don't play can be incredibly disappointing.

As for when these packs will be added to the game, GarretLeaks says it could happen this season, but it's more likely that they won't be included until Season 10. There's also no mention of how much one of the new packs will actually cost, as there's always a possibility they'll be more expensive than the standard packs.

Aside from adding new content to the game, Respawn has certainly been kept busy as of late. Only a couple of days ago, Apex Legends suffered a major hack that rendered it unplayable for a lot of players. Respawn has since fixed it, and the hackers responsible did so as part of a campaign to make Respawn address the hacking issues with Titanfall.

Apex Legends is available on PC, PlayStation 4, Switch, and Xbox One.
