A massive Apex Legends leak has appeared online, revealing details about new heirlooms, new weapons, and even new characters. Players should take this with a grain of salt, but the evidence that this is legit is there. The speed by which Apex Legends developer Respawn Entertainment and publisher Electronic Arts are moving to have online social media posts and images related to it taken down is another point toward its credibility.

Among this leak is a character screen screenshot of a dev version of the game. What this means is that a lot of it is still subject to change, notably as some characters have concept art (and it’s certainly possible a name or two changes). Nonetheless, it may still prove to be interesting for Apex Legends fans.

According to this screenshot, the next 9 Apex Legends characters are named Conduit, Scryer, Newcastle, Uplink, Vantage, Catalyst, Phantom, Jester, and Caliber. These names are subject to change, but looking closely at the character, it would seem that Conduit is the next legend (appearing next to Mad Maggie on the screen). However, Conduit just appears to be the Dummies from Apex Legends—whether that is what he is supposed to look like remains to be seen.

The next legend after that appears to be Scryer, as his character select screen appears to be the most complete. It shows a Black male with grey-to-black hair and a glowing blue eye, as if it was filled with electricity. The next few legends are either pure concept art, an incomplete model, or in the case of Jester, a pure white screen. Newcastle truly looks like he could be Bangalore’s brother, while Uplink is a blond white male with a mic, suggesting he may be some tech-based character like Crypto.

Vantage is harder to see but has a notable helmet and face paint on, while Catalyst is pale white and has a gothic vibe to her. It’s hard to tell if her hair is black or purple; meanwhile, Phantom appears to be some Snake-humanoid thing. Fans can check out the Dev roster version HERE (but be warned the image is likely to be taken down quickly).

The key thing fans should keep in mind is that game development is always shifting. Just because Conduit and Scryer appear to be next doesn’t mean they are, and any number of changes including appearance and names can be changed prior to their release. What is clear, however, is that Respawn Entertainment has some exciting plans for Apex Legends, even if that doesn’t include changing the character select screen.

Apex Legends is available now on PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One. Mobile is available in some regions; PS5 and Xbox Series X versions are in development.
