Apex Legends had a rough day yesterday. Apex Legends accounts were reset to level 1, and the game's servers were taken down so Respawn could fix the issue. However, it seems as though the temporary account reset may have been intentional, and it was possibly done to address a leak for an upcoming weapon.

The L-STAR from Titanfall 2 is apparently making its way to Apex Legends at some point in the future. Before the account reset and server downtime yesterday, some Apex Legends players unlocked skins for the L-STAR, despite it not being in the game yet and not officially announced by Respawn. After the downtime, it appears as though the L-STAR skins have been removed, but not before some screenshots were taken to prove their existence.

Overall, it's no surprise that Respawn appears to be adding more weapons from the Titanfall series to Apex Legends. After all, Apex Legends is set in the Titanfall universe, and the more connections between the two, the better Apex Legends' incredible popularity can boost the Titanfall brand in general.

While new weapons will no doubt be appreciated by the community, there are some features that Apex Legends fans may rather see added to the game first. A common request is for Respawn to add solos and duos to Apex Legends so that players can play by themselves or with just one friend if they so desire. Others would like to see Apex Legends add a fourth person per team, which would put it in line with what other battle royale games on the market have to offer.

Other players still may be most interested in new playable Legends that could be coming to Apex Legends. The season 1 launch saw the new character Octane added to the mix, but we know at least two more characters are set to be added to the game by the time season 1 comes to a close. There have been leaks for a bunch of potential Apex Legends characters, and it will be interesting to see which leaked character is next in line.

However, Apex Legends fans should expect to see the L-STAR before any more new characters are added to the mix.

Apex Legends is out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
