With Season 10 and the new Legend Seer arriving in Apex Legends soon, players can complete an easy easter egg teaser to get an exclusive Seer-themed gun charm. The teaser requires players to look in various locations across World’s Edge or Olympus for a small chirping device that contains a swarm of Seer’s microdrones.
Seer was officially announced as the new Legend in a Stories from the Outlands lore trailer, and his abilities were discussed in the recent EA Play Live 2021 presentation. Season 10, which is called Emergence, will launch on August 3. It brings Seer, an update to World’s Edge, and the new Rampage LMG weapon.
This easter egg teaser has very few steps, but it does require Apex Legends players to do a bit of exploring on either World’s Edge or Olympus to find the device, so it may take a while. Once a player has completed the easter egg, they can return to the lobby to equip their exclusive “Bespoke Micro-Drone” gun charm.
Before getting started, it is advisable that solo players jump into the Duos playlist with fill turned off to avoid messing with teammates, or to get some friends to help in Trios. The teaser can also be repeated, so Apex Legends players can help out teammates that have yet to complete it.
Device Locations
The device which Apex Legends players need to find can be seen in six locations for both World’s Edge and Olympus in Battle Royale. The device will spawn in one of these locations for a while, so players can actually find the device in the same location for several games in a row. World’s Edge:
- Skyhook, on top of the Skyhook tower.
- Survey Camp, north-west corner.
- Fragment West, on top of the southern building under construction.
- Thermal Station, to the west next to a big rock.
- Geyser, in the south-east corner of the area.
- Dome, near the lava falls to the north-west.
Olympus:
- Bonsai Plaza, at the top of the south tower.
- Icarus, in the middle of the ship.
- Gardens, on the central walkway right in the middle.
- Rift, on top of the raised area in the north.
- Oasis, near the building to west.
- Loading area between Carrier and Oasis, next to the small cargo ship near the edge of the map.
Activating The Device
If a player reaches one of these locations, they need to listen out for a deep, heartbeat-like chirping sound. This is the most obvious way of finding the device as following the sound will lead players to it, but yellow moth graffiti and clusters of blue lights will also indicate roughly where the device is.
Players will then be able to find the device on the ground and can interact with it. The device is actually the gold casing that Seer wears on his chest to hold all the microdrones for his abilities.
Interacting with the device will cause a short animation to play and the player’s Legend will have some unique dialogue about the arrival of the new Legend. The nearest banner screens will play the chirping noise very loudly and will also turn black to show the icons for Seer’s abilities. Once the animation is over, the device will drop three gun charm items that can be picked up as a reward.
