As a new season of Apex Legends approaches, Respawn has given fans a first look at some of the new skins coming in the upcoming Battle Pass. One skin in particular is causing quite a buzz among members of the community. Gamers claim that the Apex Legends Season 10 skin revealed for Horizon looks like a Power Rangers villain.

Twitter user Cyra took notice of the similarities between the two intergalactic characters. The villain from the popular television and film franchise is Trakeena, the daughter of the evil alien Scorpius, who has fought against the Power Rangers on multiple occasions. In these fights, she has taken on the form of a hideous insect-like creature. When in human form, she can be seen wearing an outfit that has features reminiscent of an invertebrate.

It's understandable why fans would compare Trakeena to the Apex Legends character. At first glance, many aspects from Horizon's new skin look very similar to those found on Trakeena. Both characters' outfits feature bulbous insectoid eyes above their heads, and they both wear dark eyeliner as well. While each outfit comes equipped with pieces of armor resembling the exoskeleton of a insect, Horizon's skin features a much lighter color palette compared to the Power Rangers villain.

While Horizon's status as a top tier Legend has possibly diminished slightly in recent months, she continues to draw attention in regards to her new skins. This news comparing her Season 10 outfit to Trakeena comes after another recent skin for the Legend from the Genesis Collection event also appeared to have similarities to another Power Rangers character. The community believed that this Horizon skin resembled a Megazord, a giant battle robot formed by a group of Zords.

This new Horizon skin isn't the only skin coming to the Battle Royale at the start of Season 10. Valkyrie, the most recent Legend added to the game, is receiving a new skin as well. Beyond cosmetics, the new season of the game introduces new Legend Seer along with the Rampage LMG. Arenas is getting a Ranked mode as well.

With now two skins that appear to resemble iconic characters from the Power Rangers franchise, it seems as though these similarities could be more than a coincidence. Even though the developers have added weapon charms from popular titles such as Portal, Half-Life, and Mass Effect, they have never had a large crossover event similar to those found in Fortnite. It will be interesting to see if Respawn is teasing plans for some type of event between the franchises in the future.

Apex Legends is out now for PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
