Dexerto recently sat down with Chris Edgerly, the voice behind Pathfinder in Apex Legends, for some exclusive details regarding the upcoming season 3 changes in the game including the Halloween event. The voice actor revealed that there would be “some” creepy cosmetic changes coming to the game for the event. The Halloween event launches on October 1, and Respawn Entertainment has been hyping up the event through different marketing tactics which have led the fans to believe that there’s something big coming to the game with Season 3.

So far, it has been revealed that a completely new character known as Crypto will be added to the game. Crypto is a hacking vigilante and players will be able to follow his adventures on the new planet through his campaign. Since the launch of the new Apex Legends season takes place over the course of the Holiday season, there will be a lot of opportunities for Respawn Entertainment to add holiday-specific LTMs to the game. Holiday-themed events have proven to be very successful for other battle-royale games like Fortnite and PUBG, so it’s safe to assume that Apex Legends will be jumping on the bandwagon as well.

Chris Edgerly did confirm that the team at Respawn Entertainment is working on a Halloween event for Apex Legends. He also confirmed that Pathfinder would also play a crucial role in the story surrounding the event. “The Halloween event coming up is going to be simply amazing. I recorded some new stuff for a short for it, where Pathfinder has a much bigger role.”, said Pathfinder’s voice actor. “They [Respawn] let me ad-lib quite a bit, so we'll see what they kept in — and get ready to see some creepy, scary, kick-ass designs. Can’t say any more than that, unfortunately!", He added.

It was already rumored that Respawn was working on a Halloween event for the game. Still, even after confirmation from the voice actor, there are no extra details regarding what kind of missions will the event bring or how the new event will tie into the story. The new season also brings a plethora of new items for players to unlock and a completely new weapon called Charge Rifle will also be added to the game. According to Respawn Entertainment, the Charge Rifle is an "obliterating directed-energy weapon.", but only time will tell if the new weapon actually obliterates the competition or not.

Apex Legends is available now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
