Valentine's Day is coming soon, and for Apex Legends players that means the return of the much-loved Duos mode. First introduced back in November, Duos allows players of the battle royale game to form teams of two instead of the usual three.

Many fans hoped Duos would become a permanent new mode, but it sadly went away after a short run. Now developer Respawn is bringing back this fan favorite to Apex Legends (again, only for a limited time) as part of its Valentine's Day event, which starts tomorrow, February 11th.

While there's nothing more romantic than teaming up for some shooter action in Apex Legends, what makes the Valentine's Day Rendezvous event even better is the "Double Up" XP boost that will be running during the event. Players will earn double the experience during matches, although there is a limit to 20k per day. Players logging in during the event will also earn a cute Valentine's 2020 badge.

The Valentine's Day Rendezvous event will also include a few new cosmetics, some of which were already revealed in a leak earlier this week. These include Valentine's Day-themed gun charms of Pathfinder and Nessie, and the return of the "Through the Heart" Longbow and "Love of the Game" Pathfinder banner frame. "Through the Heart" and the Lovestruck Nessie charm will be available starting tomorrow until February 14th and will cost 800 and 500 Apex Coins respectively. "Love of the Game" and the Lovefinder charm will be available from February 15th until the 18th for 800 and 700 Apex Coins.

There's no Valentine's Day cosmetic centered around Apex Legends' newest character, Revenant. That's alright, though, since the revenge-seeking robot assassin already has a unique skin, "Gilded Rose," available to players who link their Twitch Prime accounts to the game. This special skin looks really cool and helps push Revenant as the face of Apex Legends' Season 4, the latest season for Respawn Entertainment's free-to-play battle royale shooter.

Apart from introducing the new legend Revenant, Season 4 has brought many more changes to Apex Legends. As with other battle royales, there were some changes made to the map. There were also a few smaller changes made to the gameplay that not all players noticed right away, such as sniper rifles getting their own ammunition type now. This means snipers will now have to pay much closer attention to the ammo they're picking up.

Apex Legends is available for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. The Valentine's Day Rendezvous event runs from February 11th to February 18th.
