Apex Legends has a ton of attachments that can be equipped, including stocks, optics, and more. However, hop-ups are a different kind of attachment that can affect the performance of a weapon. For instance, a hop-up could increase damage or increase a headshot multiplier, and so on. Keeping this in mind, it should not be surprising that hop-ups are legendary or epic in rarity. However, out of all the hop-ups, this blog will specifically focus on Disruptor Rounds.

The Disruptor Rounds hop-up packs quite the punch since it increases damage against shields. Unfortunately, Disruptor Rounds cannot be equipped on any weapon, only on the RE-45 Auto, as highlighted in the Eclipse patch notes.

While the RE-45 Auto is not an effective weapon, it can be a force to be reckoned with when paired with Disruptor Rounds. The RE-45 Auto is a handheld weapon that requires light ammo, which is easy to come by in Apex Legends.

Disruptor Rounds increase damage by 30% against shields, which is a big deal since Apex Legends players depend on their shields to survive firefights. Disruptor Rounds make it easier for players to take down players by destroying their shields by catching them off guard and eliminating them as quickly as possible.

Where To Find Disruptor Rounds?

Players can find Disruptor Rounds in loot boxes throughout the map on the ground. Unfortunately, Disruptor Rounds cannot be crafted or found anywhere else.

Disruptor Rounds were reintroduced to Apex Legends in Season 10 after being removed in Season 3. Disruptor Rounds was compatible with the RE-45 Auto and the Alternator SMG, adding a damage multiplier of 1.55X and 1.7X, respectively, against shielded targets.

Originally, there was a lot of controversy surrounding the hop-up attachment as people called out the developers and demanded to have the attachment nerfed. The attachment returns to Apex Legends this time but will be unavailable in ranked areas.

Apex Legends is available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S/X, Android, iOS, and Nintendo Switch.
