While there isn't much to go on yet, fans of Apex Legends are already looking into the few teasers we have for the game's sixth season, which is believed to be coming later this month. While it may not happen in this next season, though, some are hoping to learn more about one of the game's original playable Legends: Alexander Nox, better known as Caustic.

While Caustic does have an established backstory as a research scientist looking to test his deadly gases on unlucky test subjects, not much else is known about him and he hasn't really had much focus when compared to other Legends. Some are hoping that he'll receive his own Town Takeover, themed events centered around specific characters, but in the meantime, they are making do with what has been discovered behind his mask.

As one of the few masked characters in Apex Legends, fans have naturally wondered what Caustic looks like behind his mask. And while Respawn hasn't provided an official look, one user named ImDeadWood was able to mess about with Caustic's Trophy Hunter skin and shared a clear image of Caustic's face.

Caustic has always had a very intimidating appearance, with the mask itself being a major contributing factor, but he surprisingly looks rather kind and warmly behind it. His big beard has also led to some comparing him to Santa Claus, which is rather fitting given the Christmas-themed Claustic skin.

Some have expressed a desire for a new skin that simply takes the mask off and allows his face to be shown. This, in turn, has led to others wanting a similar treatment for some of the other masked Legends like Octane and Bloodhound, but this will ultimately be up to Respawn.

In the meantime, there are somethings that fans can most definitely look forward to in the future, such as the game releasing on Steam and Nintendo Switch, accompanied by cross-play. Additionally, there have been rumors that a future update will bring a clan or guild-like system to the game, which will instead be called "clubs."

Respawn has also recently had to defend itself after an anonymous employee posted a complaint that the team was being subjected to crunch, which was affecting the employee's health. While Respawn officially stated that it had its employees' best interest and health in mind, it didn't dismiss the employee's feelings and admitted that they were working too much.

Apex Legends is available on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. It will release on Nintendo Switch and Steam later this year.
