Streaming mogul Dr Disrespect is unequivocally known for his high octane gameplay and extreme level of competitiveness. It's deeply part of who he is and why he got so famous, but in the case of Respawn Entertainment's Apex Legends, the popular YouTuber just wasn't having it. After investing a couple of hours in the free-to-play battle royale, Dr Disrespect referred to the game as boring and doesn't intend to hop back in anytime soon.
Dedicated followers know that Dr Disrespect's history with Apex Legends hasn't been exactly a good one. To start, he's uninstalled the game on multiple occasions and even previously promised not to pick up the shooter again. Still, Dr Disrespect admitted that it was a good game and admitted to liking it somewhat. It would seem all of that was thrown out of the window during Dr Disrespect's most recent YouTube stream.
On June 30, Dr Disrespect chose to jump back into Apex Legends. His previous stance on the game quickly deteriorated, as Doc flew into a fit of rage, exclaiming that Apex Legends is "just shooting shields." He continued, stating that there's a reason why he normally doesn't play it: "It's boring. I don't know what else to say."
Despite that poor experience, Dr Disrespect decided to keep playing. This time he jumped into a ranked game. It did little to engage the streaming icon, as he noted that it's hard to stay interested. In fact, the drawn-out gunfights were so boring that the YouTuber had taken to reading emails on his third monitor while playing the game.

Apex Legends isn't without its faults. In addition to major hacking issues, the battle royale has also been known to have server lag and connection issues. The latter likely ties into the previous reason why Dr Disrespect uninstalled Apex Legends, which was due to hit registration issues. Either way, it would seem that Apex has disappointed Doc for the last time, though only time will tell.
Moments like this are probably why Dr Disrespect wants to look into creating his own billion-dollar IP. It wouldn't be hard for the streamer to get an idea off of the ground. With the gaming industry's focus on battle royales, the next big thing is anyone's guess. Having dropped Warzone and now Apex Legends, it would seem that Dr Disrespect's sights are currently set on Battlefield 2042.
