With Season 11 of Apex Legends well underway, many players have been grinding Ranked. While the game includes unranked trios and duos, numerous gamers enjoy the challenge of attempting to reach Apex Predator, the highest rank in the battle royale. However, ranking up can be a demanding process, as many that have climbed the Ranked ladder can attest. Unfortunately, it appears that some players have discovered a questionable way of making the grind easier.Recently, an exploit involving Respawn Beacons has surfaced in Apex Legends, allowing players an easy way to gain Ranked Points (RP). In order to take advantage of this exploit, opposing squads have started teaming in Ranked matches and using Replicators to craft Respawn Beacons. These players then kill each other and respawn multiple times to gain large amounts of RP extremely fast. Unsurprisingly, many in the Apex Legends community have taken notice of this unfair practice and have called for the developers to take action against those abusing the system.RELATED: Apex Legends Player Puts Doom on Wattson's HeirloomFortunately, it appears that Respawn Entertainment has listened to the frustrations of its player base. In a recent tweet from developer Conor “Hideouts” Ford, it was revealed that 2,051 players had been banned from Apex Legends. Hideouts explained that these users had been penalized for teaming in Ranked to farm RP off each other. While he noted that some managed to get to Predator rank using this exploit, he revealed that these cheaters would be removed from ranked leaderboards. He concluded the message by addressing those guilty of taking advantage of the system, “GGs, play the game with some integrity next time.”[EMBED_TWITTER]https://twitter.com/RSPN_Hideouts/status/1468340358320902149[/EMBED_TWITTER]In addition to revealing the action taken by Respawn Entertainment, Hideouts provided a breakdown of the number of bans per platform. According to the developer, these bans included 607 on PC, 859 on PS4, and 562 on Xbox One. Even 22 were caught abusing the exploit on the Nintendo Switch version of Apex Legends. Furthermore, the developer revealed the duration of these bans varied from 7 to 60 days, depending on how much they used the exploit. While none of these accounts were permanently suspended, Hideouts warned those that might consider attempting the exploit in the future. “If they do it again they will be perma banned,” he said.It will be interesting to see how this situation progresses in the coming days. While it’s nice to see the Apex Legends developers take decisive action against those abusing the RP system, the “infinite RP” exploit still exists in the game. Time will tell if any players are foolish enough to attempt this type of RP farming a second time.Apex Legends is available now for PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.MORE: Apex Legends Season 11 Has Been a Big Step Up From Season 10Source: Dexerto
