The newest season of Apex Legends launched this week and fans are already sounding off to developers at Respawn Entertainment about the changes they want to see in the season later down the line. The studio has been publicly gracious for the constant feedback that it receives in the past, but some developers felt like having notes on fixes just a few days into the season was a little fast.

Apex Legends producer Josh Medina asked fans what they thought of the new season on Twitter a few hours after it launched on Tuesday night and he was met with over 500 responses. He responded to several people suggesting insignificant changes like the addition of more cosmetics, but also noted in one response how fast fans had been to criticize the season despite the fact that, at that point, it had only been live for roughly eight hours.

In the response, he said that he's a direct line into the production process, but that fans need to take it "EZ" on things that need to change "ASAP," specifically referring to the calls to nerf the newest Legend Ash's passive ability. Ironically, responses to his statement were full of suggestions on how to fix the Legend.

It's important to note that there's nothing wrong with having ideas on how to fix different aspects of a competitive game but, as Medina points out, it's hard to tell what needs to be fixed after only playing with and against a new character for several hours. Balancing a game isn't as simple as many of the responses to Medina's initial tweet make it seem and, while it might appear on the surface that Ash's passive ability is too powerful when compared to other characters, it's tough to definitively say one way or another after just a few hours of play.

In addition to the new Legend, there have been a lot of other changes to Apex, the most major being the new map, Storm Point. Among other new things, the map is the first to feature PvPvE with the many different hostile creatures spread across its environment. So far, there's plenty to see with Season 11, so hopefully, fans are satisfied with the amount of new content that's been added to the game for the foreseeable future. Because Season 11 introduced a new map and Season 10 introduced a new map variant, it seems unlikely that any other new map content will be added to the game any time soon.

Apex Legends is available now for PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One with PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions in development.
