If Antony Starr sees a fanmade video of his villainous character Homelander on The Boys that blows his mind, he'll be sure to let the public see it too. For example, Starr shared a fanmade video of his character, the psychotic supe Homelander, that will be sure to make fans of the show, or really anyone whose been following the superhero movie genre for years, more than amused.

Starr shared a video that combines multiple elements, including an interview of him from Comic-Con and a clip of Homelander during season 2 of The Boys, for a fan-made clip that is equally terrifying and hilarious at the same time. For added effect, the video also uses the soundtrack from what has been typically regarded as the greatest superhero film ever made, Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight.

Of course, there have probably been thousands of fanmade videos about Homelander since The Boys hit Amazon Prime back in 2019, but what makes this one stand out among the rest was its underlying implications that Starr truly is Homelander even when he's not playing him. In the video, which Starr shared on his personal Twitter account, the actor makes a rather blank face while The Dark Knight soundtrack is playing in the background. A clip of Homelander's fantasy of killing all of his skeptics is then juxtaposed while Starr continues his blank stare. While it continues Homelander's theme of being an unstable force who is capable of committing mass genocide in the blink of an eye, making it seem like Starr truly embodies Homelander makes it all pretty scary and funny.

Even though this is played off as a joke more than anything, it could also give fans a sneak peek of what's to come from Homelander when the fourth season of The Boys airs on Amazon Prime. When the third season wrapped up, Homelander came to the realization that he truly could do whatever he wanted because, even after shamelessly and brutally murdering one of his skeptics for throwing an object at his invincible offspring, his fans still cheered him on anyway. Homelander always held back beforehand because he was afraid he'd lose public support if he killed whoever he pleased. Now that he knows he'll have support to some degree no matter what, he may have no restrictions from here on out.

It's plotlines like these that will make fans continue to stay tuned with The Boys from here on out. With fewer boundaries than ever before, there's not really anything stopping Homelander from killing Annie or Hughie, for that matter, because a good portion of the public already has a distaste for the former. Not to mention, since Homelander truly can do whatever he wants now, there's even more desperation to take him out of the picture than there was in the past, so viewers will wonder how The Boys will succeed in that endeavor.

This is why many fans regard The Boys season 3 as an improvement over season 2. The stakes have truly changed coming into next season, which will make many speculate where the show goes next. Season 2 didn't exactly do that when it wrapped up. While both seasons ended with Homelander growing increasingly unstable, season 3 spent more time on that throughout its eight episodes, whereas season 2 didn't really until the finale. All indications are that season 4 will only take things one step further. If it truly picks up from where The Boys season 3 left off, fans should expect an already violent and gruesome Homelander to only get intensified.

The Boys seasons 1-3 can currently be streamed on Amazon Prime Video.
