Saying that Anthem had a pretty rough VIP demo is perhaps a bit of an understatement. From infinite loading screens to maxed out servers, the demo left a bad taste in the mouths of some players. However, BioWare is giving those VIP players something to look forward to in the upcoming public demo. Normally demo players start with one Javelin and get to unlock one more, but those who played the VIP demo will automatically get all four Javelins unlocked so they can try every one out.

In the Anthem demo, players start at level 10 with the Ranger Javelin and progress their way to level 15. Once players reach level 12 in the demo, they will be able to unlock one of the remaining three Javelins. This limits the experimenting players can do in the demo, forcing them to wait until the game's launch to try out every Javelin. This makes this VIP player bonus huge, since VIP players will be able to get a feel for all four Javelins well-before launch.

Each of the four Javelins has a very unique playstyle and ability sets. While some weapons and gear are universal, there is some equipment that can only be used by a specific model Javelin. Certain Javelins also specialize in specific damage types.

The Storm, for example, specializes in elemental damage making it great at setting up combo attacks with other players. The Colossus is the tank Javelin that makes up for its slower speed with explosions and hard-hitting attacks. While the Ranger is more versatile, the opposite can be said for the Interceptor. This speedy Javelin is all about hit-and-run abilities and melee attacks. Those who did not play the VIP demo should choose their demo unlock very carefully.

This is not the only way that BioWare is apologizing to VIP players, either. Those who participated in the VIP demo will also receive a special vinyl for their Javelins to show off that they were part of the VIP demo. Hopefully fans will be able to log in and play this demo so they can actually try out these Javelins for themselves, because many fans didn't get to give them a shot in the VIP demo.

Anthem launches February 22 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
