Anthem is now available to players who subscribe to Origin Access Premier, so it's safe to presume that there are a decent amount of Freelancers who are currently seeking some solid guns to improve their Javelin loadouts. One of the highest-tiered weapons a player can get will be labelled as a Masterwork, and they can be obtained by loot drops and through crafting.

For those Anthem fans who may have received a Masterwork weapon via loot drop and aren't happy with the gun's stat roll, crafting can be used to provide them with a new version of the gun that has another set of randomly generated stats. That said, a Masterwork blueprint is required for crafting, and the blueprint will only unlock for this weapon rarity level once players complete a given challenge related to using that specific firearm.

For instance, a Masterwork gun might charge Anthem players with the challenge of killing 10 legendary enemies with that weapon. Once the challenge is done, the blueprint for that weapon will then become available.

When the blueprint is acquired, it can be used over and over again until one gets the roll they want. It must be noted, though, that Anthem players will need to have a certain number of Masterwork Embers in order to craft the high-tiered gun, and doing so requires a substantial amount these ingredients. With this being the case, Freelancers will need to gather as much Ember as possible to get the job done.

Ember can be acquired as a bonus item from loot drops in Anthem, and it's best to beat tougher enemies like Elder Ash Titans in order to stock up on Masterwork Embers. Taking on Strongholds and completing Legendary Contracts at progressively higher levels of difficulty are also known to increase the chance of getting Masterwork Embers, if not a Masterwork piece or even Legendary gear itself.

Another way to find the resource is from searching through chests and nodes scattered around the map. Of course, Embers and their rarity is doled out randomly through this method, and BioWare even recently introduced a patch nerfing chest farming. So, there's also the option to break down any unwanted equipment, with there being a chance of receiving Ember that way as well.

All things considered, crafting Masterwork weapons in Anthem shouldn't be that difficult of a process, particularly once players have reached the current level cap of 30. However, the activity will likely be time consuming, especially if one's looking for a specific roll on a Masterwork gun of their choice.

Anthem officially goes live for everyone on February 22, 2019 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
