Anthem is now available in Early Access for Origin Access Premier and EA Access subscribers on PC and Xbox One. All progress from here on will be retained through the game's official launch date on February 22. And as a result, Early Access players should have full access to their pre-order bonuses and Legion of Dawn edition bonus content. Exactly how Anthem players can get their free loot is a bit of a struggle, however, so here's a step-by-step guide to help with the process.

Players will not have access to their free promo items just by starting up the game. This is because Anthem doesn't just throw players into the game world with full access to the store and all customization elements. There are several tutorials and missions to play through before that part of the game opens up. Once the player progresses to a certain point, all of that free content can be claimed. Keep in mind that some bonus content is only beneficial early in the game, so Anthem Early Access players should claim it as soon as they're able.

Pre-order bonuses and Legion of Dawn digital content will be in the "Rewards" tab in Anthem's vanity shop. EA has provided a list of spoiler-free steps required to unlock the shop and its content:

  1. Complete the tutorials.
  2. Talk to Prospero at his stall in Fort Tarsis.
  3. Complete Prospero's mission.
  4. Talk to Prospero again in Fort Tarsis.
  5. Open Anthem's in-game Store.
  6. Claim items via the Rewards tab in the Store.

Once claimed, the items will have a check mark next to them on the Rewards tab. They can then be equipped at the Forge next to the Javelin departure point. Note that not all Legion of Dawn or pre-order content may be available until full launch on February 22.

Outside of the Legion of Dawn Edition bonus content, Anthem's only special edition, there are a variety of other digital content rewards that players will be able to now unlock. Some of these cosmetics are for pre-ordering, but others are for assorted memberships, purchases, or sign-ups:

  • Standard Pre-Order Bonuses
    • Legion of Dawn Ranger Armor Pack and Light of the Legion Legendary Weapon
    • Founders Player Banner
  • GameStop Pre-Order "Edge of Resolve" Vinyl
  • ASUS  "Wildwood" Vinyl
  • Origin Access / EA Access "Lone Wolven" Vinyl
  • VIP Pre-Launch Demo Bonuses
    • "Vigilance" Vinyl
    • "Guardian of the Fort" Vinyl
  • Anthem Newsletter Founder's Banner

The Legion of Dawn Edition itself comes with both cosmetic and in-game content (limited to early levels). Rather than just the Legion of Dawn Ranger Armor Pack, Legion of Dawn buyers will acquire Armor Packs for all four Javelins - Ranger, Colossus, Storm, and Interceptor. Buyers will also get the Ranger's "Fist of the Mountain" Legendary Assault Launcher gear too.

It's unclear if BioWare plans any further such rewards for Anthem, like bonuses for attending conventions or the like. But players can likely count on the vast majority of such content being released via Anthem's in-game Vanity Shop.

Anthem releases February 22 on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. Early Access is available now via Origin Access on PC and EA Access on Xbox One.
