With a little over a week until the launch of the Anthem VIP demo, potential fans are anxiously anticipating their first chance to go hands-on with the game. However, before the test goes live, there have been a few key questions regarding the demo, specifically how players can make sure they are ready for January 25th.

Luckily, Anthem Producer Michael Gamble is very active on Twitter and has been willing to answer as many questions as possible. It’s through Gamble that players have learned more about the game beyond what BioWare has shown or talked about during live demonstrations.

The first step towards playing the Anthem demo is to obtain a 16-digit code. This code will be available alongside players’ pre-orders for the game, delivered either on a receipt or via e-mail.

Players will then take that code to the Electronic Arts website, input the code and link their account to their respective platform. Then, on January 23rd, the Anthem demo will be available to pre-load ahead of its official release on the 25th.

Hopefully, this two-day lead time should give players enough time to download and install the Anthem demo before January 25th. BioWare has yet to give any indication as to how large the demo is, but given that the full game’s release is only about a month away it’s possible that this will be the full download file. Much like the Fallout 76 beta that took place in November of last year, it’s possible that BioWare simply carved out a section of its game to be playable, but needed to include the full game in order for everything to work properly.

BioWare still has yet to fully detail what is included with the Anthem demo. We know that it will give players a small slice of the leveling, as well as a few missions and one of the strongholds, but it’s not clear just how comprehensive that content is. That should change very soon, though.
