Just a couple of days ago, BioWare chose to give its fans looking forward to Anthem a better idea of what they should expect out of their visits to Fort Tarsis, by releasing some gameplay footage detailing the hub world's environments, key characters, and more. Now, the video game developer has decided to show potential players what some of the action out in the field will be like by sharing roughly 10 minutes of new gameplay showcasing the activities of a high level side quest.

The latest footage from Anthem sets up the quest known as "Hidden Depths" by first featuring a look at a Freelancer's exchange with the non-playable character Matthias issuing the mission, as he charges them with the task of finding a lost manuscript in a tower's vault on a high mountaintop. After that, players are then shown a three-person squad of the Interceptor, Storm, and Colossus javelins getting down to business.

The majority of the footage for Anthem's Hidden Depths" side quest contains the three Freelancers traversing through the open world and fighting some decidedly tough enemies along the way. Eventually, though, the Interceptor, Storm, and Colossus javelin classes discover the aforementioned manuscript's location after solving a symbol-based puzzle required to open a certain door, which then leads them to a respawn restricted area to do battle with a rather burly-looking Titan boss. Upon the mission's completion, the players are rewarded with XP and a few uncommon items.

Taking all of this into account, there's a decent chance that the video above will help to increase the excitement of players looking forward to Anthem, and further justify the forthcoming action-RPG being considered as one of the most highly anticipated games of 2019. The BioWare project seems to be primarily catering to fans of multiplayer shooters, but it has proclaimed that one can still give it a go as a single-player experience thanks to the implementation of online matchmaking. At any rate, it will be interesting to see whether or not Anthem can actually deliver the goods to gamers come next month.

Anthem is scheduled to release on February 22, 2019 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
