Anthem is now just a few short weeks away from release, which means more information about the game is finally beginning to be revealed. Fans looking to get their hands on the game still have a VIP Demo to look forward to, but they now know just how difficult the full game will be when it finally releases.

Anthem players will have six different difficulty settings to choose from when the game launches: Easy, Medium, Hard, and three Grandmaster difficulties. As players raise the difficulty setting, the odds of rare gear dropping increases, which creates a nice risk vs. reward scenario.

Most players should be able to solo Easy difficulty activities assuming they know what they're doing. Normal difficulty will prove to be a much greater challenge for solo players, forcing them to be more mindful of their surroundings and a tad bit tactical. Finally, Hard difficulty will likely require players to team up if they wish to complete the mission, though Bioware has confirmed that every activity will support matchmaking for those without a dedicated group to play with.

After players reach the level 30 cap, they'll be granted access to the Grandmaster difficulty settings, of which there are three ranks. Grandmaster 3 will be the best chance players have of receiving rare gear drops, though, it'll be the greatest challenge by far, increasing enemy health and damage by an astounding 3,100 percent.

This variety of difficulty settings should keep players busy for quite some time. It'll likely take players a decent amount of grinding before they have enough gear to even attempt to tackle the Grandmaster 3 difficulty setting given how much inflation there is to the damage and health of the enemies. Of course, there will almost always be players willing to rise to the challenge and attempt to clear the game within a few days.

Anthem has earned some major brownie points for not featuring loot boxes, but some fans have been worried about the game's solo experience. Time will tell if the game can compete with the likes of Destiny, but it certainly looks promising.

Anthem will release for everyone on February 22nd, 2019, on the PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
