Anime heroes are usually expected to have great qualities so that they inspire the people around them. Most anime heroes are very careful about their actions, and they do not do anything that would tarnish their reputation or go against their principles.

While these characters are incredible in their own ways, there are others who do not care about the consequences of their actions. They are only focused on achieving their goals, and they are willing to pay any price. These heroes do not have any qualms about killing their enemies, who try to stand in their way. They do not think that their enemies are worthy of being spared or given a second chance.

9 Johnny Joestar (JoJo's Bizarre Adventure)

Johnny Joestar is the main protagonist of Steel Ball Run. In the beginning, Johnny was just a paraplegic, who did not care about life at all, but after meeting Gyro, the Joestar underwent a very big change. He became incredibly determined to win the Steel Ball Run race and get his hands on the Saint's corpse.

One thing that separated Gyro and Johnny was the latter's commitment. When Johnny was facing an opponent, he did not hesitate to kill them, and his immense concentration was pointed out by one of Johnny's enemies, Ringo Roadagain.

8 Yagami Light (Death Note)

Yagami Light is a very well-known anime character. After picking up the Death Note, Light was initially reluctant to use it because killing another human required a great deal of mental strength. But once he wrote down the first ever name, it didn't take long for Light to become accustomed to killing others.

At one point, he moved on from killing just criminals to killing every person, who opposed him. Light killed police officers, L, and even his own father. This shows that he was nothing short of a monster.

7 Killua (Hunter x Hunter)

Killua is a member of the famed Zolydck family. The Zoldyck family is known for producing some of the most talented assassins in the world. All the family members are put through rigorous training so that they can fight and achieve their goal of killing others rather easily.

In comparison to Gon, Killua is more ruthless. He is far more calculating, and he is not afraid to kill his opponents, which became apparent in the Hunter Exams when Killua his opponents without any remorse.

6 Sasuke Uchiha (Naruto)

Sasuke was traumatized from a very young age. Both of his parents were murdered by his elder brother, who then tortured him. Itachi made Sasuke relive the incident multiple times with his genjutsu. The trauma that Sasuke suffered caused him to become a loner.

He grew up with the sole purpose of avenging both of his parents, however, Sasuke didn't become a killer until after he left the village to join Orochimaru. In Naruto Shippuden, Sasuke killed the likes of Deidara, Itachi, and Danzo.

Guts is the main character of Berserk. Guts' life has never been easy; he has had to fight constantly to survive. Guts was betrayed by his father figure and then by his best friend. Both the betrayals took a heavy toll on Guts' mind and forced him to become a completely different person.

In particular, the events that took place during the eclipse changed Guts. Once the eclipse was over Guts actively started hunting apostles and began to kill them in order to get closer to Griffith.

Eren Yeager's transformation through the story is quite spectacular. He went from being a kind person to becoming a merciless killer. Eren stole the power of different Titans as he wanted to keep Paradis Island safe from the attacks of Marley.

Once Eren set his mind on destroying the rest of the world, there was no one that could make him change it. The Rumbling started by Eren, resulted in the deaths of millions of people. Over 70% of the world's population was wiped out, and it is fair to say that Eren did not care about how many people died as long as he achieved his goal.

Alucard is a member of the Hellsing Organization and serves its leader, Victoria Hellsing. He has been blessed with an incredible amount of power, and there are only a handful of characters, who have the might to stand against him.

Alucard is a killing machine, who is willing to eliminate anyone who poses a threat to his master and to her interests. He has no hesitation in killing his enemies, which makes him very dangerous.

At the beginning of the series, Thorfinn was just an ordinary young boy with a loving family. However, after his father was murdered before his eyes, Thorfinn completely changed.

Thorfinn became callous, and he only focused on becoming stronger, so that he could avenge his father. Thorfinn traveled with a band of mercenaries, who killed and looted many innocent people. During his time with the group, Thorfinn killed many of his enemies without any problems.

For the majority of his life, Lelouch had to lead a problematic life. His only ray of hope was his sister, whom he loved dearly.

After gaining the Geass, Lelouch decided to use its power to cause the downfall of the Britannia Empire, which had robbed him of everything. Throughout the series, his actions led to the deaths of hundreds of innocents, including that of his own cousin.
