The Nintendo Switch has several major exclusive games launching in 2019, including the hotly-anticipated ghost-hunting adventure Luigi's Mansion 3 and a new Animal Crossing. Nintendo has yet to announce exactly when these games may be released on the Switch, but a British retailer may have let the cat out of the bag.

Earlier today, eagle-eyed Nintendo fans discovered that UK online retailer Base.com had updated its listings for Animal Crossing, Luigi's Mansion 3, and a new IP called DAEMON X MACHINA to include release dates. According to the retailer, DAEMON X MACHINA will be the first up on May 24, 2019, followed by Luigi's Mansion 3 on July 19, 2019, and finally, the new Animal Crossing on September 13, 2019.

While plenty of other leaked launch dates have been ruled out because the dates are in the middle of the week, Nintendo does tend to release Switch exclusives on Fridays. Both Super Mario Odyssey and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild both released on a Friday, for example. The fact that the release dates are highly specific, as opposed to placeholder dates set at the end of the month, also has some people believing them.

Animal Crossing release date leak rumor

However, fans are still encouraged to take this information with a grain of salt. One glaring issue is that Base.com isn't always up to date with its release dates. The UK retailer also lists Metroid Prime 4 as having a release date of December 7, 2019, but that is impossible after Nintendo recently rebooted the game and delayed it.

Another factor that goes against Base.com's listings is that Animal Crossing games typically release in November, a point mentioned when previous rumors about the game's release date began to do the rounds. Nintendo could be mixing things up, releasing Animal Crossing in September to accommodate a release of the Switch Pokemon RPG in November, but there are still major doubts.

With so much uncertainty, many are calling upon Nintendo to announce release dates soon. The Switch has such a decent line-up of games this year and fans just want to know which dates to mark on their calendars.
