Animal Crossing: New Horizons is one of the best-selling Nintendo Switch games of all time, behind only Mario Kart 8 Deluxe at the time of this writing. Animal Crossing: New Horizons' incredible success and the popularity of previous Animal Crossing games has seen the series well-represented in real-life through merchandise, fan art, themed birthday events, and now at Starbucks.

A viral TikTok video uploaded by user courtneygovan shows her reaction as a Starbucks she's at is playing the Animal Crossing version of "Mr. Brightside" by The Killers. This version, allegedly performed by traveling Animal Crossing musician KK Slider, appears to be the one uploaded by YouTuber Clay Kramer, whose channel is full of KK Slider covers of various other songs besides just "Mr. Brightside" by The Killers.

Courtneygovan's TikTok video has over 324,000 likes at the time of this writing and 1.4 million views. The video has also amassed over 2,600 comments as well, with commenters making jokes about how all the Starbucks employees at that particular coffee shop should get extra tips. Others joked about how the Starbucks was essentially The Roost, which is the coffee shop that Animal Crossing: New Horizons players can visit after downloading the 2.0 update.

Many of the other jokes on the video center around The Roost and the interactions Animal Crossing: New Horizons players can have with its barista, the fan favorite character Brewster. One commenter joked that next time they're in that Starbucks they should ask the barista if they have any pigeon milk available - pigeon milk being one of the more bizarre drinks that Brewster will offer Animal Crossing: New Horizons players that visit his cafe.

Brewster's addition to Animal Crossing: New Horizons was a long time coming and a decision that was very well-received by fans. He came along with a ton of other content in the big Animal Crossing: New Horizons 2.0 update, which itself marked the end of Nintendo's support for the popular social simulation game. It seems that the developers who have been working on Animal Crossing these last couple years will be moving on to another project, though what that may be remains to be seen.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons' incredible success virtually guarantees that a new entry in the series is going to arrive at some point down the line. Animal Crossing: New Horizons fans can continue visiting The Roost and checking out the new content added as part of the Happy Home Paradise DLC while they wait to see what's next.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons is out now, exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.
