Nintendo recently released the highly-anticipated Winter Update for Animal Crossing: New Horizons, and it appears that the Switch game is not the only one getting an expansion this week. Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp has also been updated, bringing tons of new features to the hit mobile game.

Headlining the latest additions to Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp are two new AR features that bring a wide variety of cute and cuddly characters to life in exciting new ways. The Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp app now features an AR Camera mode and an AR Cabin mode. As per Nintendo, AR Camera brings these adorable villagers into real-life, and players will be able to choose a real-world spot to place their favorite Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp villager in the real-world.

On the other hand, AR Cabin allows players to enter the same space as their favorite villagers and even spend time with them in a virtual setting. Additionally, players will design the Cabin with furniture and all sorts of amenities and invite up to eight different villagers to join them. Nintendo also revealed that players could place the Cabin door anywhere in the real-world and "enter" it to see and explore their creations.

For those interested in trying out all the new features, players must download the latest update for Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp. While Pocket Camp doesn't offer the full Animal Crossing experience New Horizons does, it is still generally well-received game by fans, and is a decent option for those that don't own a Nintendo Switch.

Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp is out now for mobile devices.
