It seems that the Animal Crossing: New Horizons community is ready for the holidays with one fan sharing the Christmas ornaments they hand-crafted featuring the game's villagers. For those who love specific Animal Crossing: New Horizons villagers and have a penchant for holiday decorating, these ornaments are likely a great addition to any Christmas decor collection.

Though it seems like Nintendo has yet to reveal any news about adding a new game to the Animal Crossing series, the Switch title seems to be doing well for itself. Recently, Nintendo reported that Animal Crossing: New Horizons has topped sales charts in Japan, having sold over 10.45 million units. This means the life sim has dethroned the original Pokemon video games. What's more, the game's community continues engagement and activity online, creating fan-generated content and merchandise for fellow players to enjoy.

On Reddit, user YumeYumeNoMi shared several photos of the Animal Crossing: New Horizons-themed Christmas ornaments that they created. Using polymer clay, the artist sculpted the faces of different Animal Crossing: New Horizons villagers and iconic in-game icons, placing them in see-through balls that can be hung onto a Christmas tree. Some villager faces that can be seen in the photos include frog villager Lily, wolf villager Skye, the new goat villager Sherb, and many more. According to the artist's Etsy shop, they are selling these ornaments for around $26.55 USD per piece.

Fans will also be delighted to see some iconic in-game items in YumeYumeNoMi's Christmas ornaments. They crafted the DIY recipe card in Animal Crossing: New Horizons and a bag of Bells as well. Replies on the Reddit thread showed their support for the artist's work, with one mentioning that they will likely message YumeYumeNoNi to purchase their items. One even commented that they were able to buy one of the artist's items a few years ago, mentioning that they are in need of replacements.

This is not the artist's first foray into hand-crafting polymer clay figures. Some of their work features other series such as Pokemon and Studio Ghibli films. They have also created smaller items like keychains that are themed after Animal Crossing: New Horizons. The artist is also providing customization options for these ornaments, allowing fans to choose up to four villagers to include in their item. With many in the game's community having a favorite villager from the life sim, this will likely give them more incentive to support the artist and purchase the items.
