Valentine's Day is almost here, and with that comes plenty of chocolate, bouquets, hearts, and more. Of course, because Animal Crossing: New Horizons attempts to be as festive as possible, the game has all of those things, as well.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons has a lot going on leading up to Valentine's Day, including Festivale, featuring a peacock villager named Pave. Something exciting that was just revealed is two new items that can be ordered in Nook Shopping.

The Chocolate heart and the Heart-shaped bouquet items will be available to order from February 1 through February 14 in Nook Shopping. The Valentine's Day-themed items are a great way to celebrate the holiday in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. The timing is also interesting in that the aforementioned Festivale takes place on February 15, so players cannot double-dip on the fun here; they will have to jump into the game a couple of times to enjoy the festival and the Valentine's Day content.

In leading up to the Festivale, players can also receive free Maracas in Animal Crossing: New Horizons as a gift; something that will come in handy when celebrating on February 15. Nintendo does a good job with handing out goodies in ACNH, whether it be for holidays, seasons, events, or just for fun.

As far as holidays go, Valentine's Day is not one in which many games are themed after. More often than not, updates and events are based on the big day instead, as opposed to full-on games. In the case of Animal Crossing: New Horizons, it is nice to see that the game is doing something for the love-based holiday.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons is out now, exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.
